Cardiovascular and Kidney disease Study
Study Background
This study is researching the effects of a medication on the cardiovascular outcomes and kidney function in adults living with obesity. Living with excess weight or obesity can increase your risk of chronic health conditions, such as cardiovascular disease and kidney disease.
If you take part in this study, you will be assigned randomly to receive either the study medication or a placebo.
Study Details
The study would require you to come in for approximately 27 site visits over 3.5 years. Visits will range between 15 mins and 2 hours each time you come in. You will be required to self-administer the study injection weekly. At visits we will check your medical history, conduct physical examinations including ECG’s and draw blood. You will also receive diet and exercise counselling for the duration of the study.
You will be reimbursed for your time and involvement in the research study.
