Dr Sylvia Ng graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle in 2020. She built her early clinical career in Internal and Emergency Medicine, followed by several years of dedicated Radiology training, before choosing to pursue a career in Clinical Research.
Outside of work, Dr Sylvia can usually be found on her local tennis court, at the climbing gym, or knitting her next jumper in a cosy corner of her home.
Mary-Louise Bartolo-Stafford brings over 18 years of clinical research expertise to her role, spanning study coordination, CRA work, project management and quality and training leadership. With a Bachelor of Medical Science in Anatomy and Physiology and a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Trials Management, she bridges deep scientific knowledge with a career-long focus on operational excellence. Her background covers site-level operations, CRO environments and sponsor strategy, giving her a unique ability to simplify complex systems and modernise trial delivery. Beyong operational milestones, she is dedicated to building high-performing, inclusive teams rooted in trust, empathy and authenticity. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys balancing her fast-paced career with quiet, creative pursuits like knitting and learning to crochet. She now leverages this broad experience to drive partnerships, strategy and growth of new research sites.
Bella holds a Master of Biomedical Science (Infection and Immunity) from The University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Medical Science from Macquarie University. For her master’s project, she completed a review of point-of-care diagnostics (rapid PCR and rapid antigen testing) for curable sexually transmitted infections. She has worked in a variety of clinical roles, including pharmacy, dentistry and clinical trials. She is passionate about immunology and innovative biologic treatments and is driven by the opportunity to contribute to medical research that takes a holistic, patient-centred approach. She is a chess enthusiast, avid reader and nature lover.
Cecilie is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Nursing from Norway and a Master of Public Health from Sydney. With experience in the emergency department and pacu settings in Norway, as well as across a range of healthcare settings in Australia. She is passionate about delivering compassionate, patient-centred care and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
She values that her role at Canopy Clinical allows her to combine her nursing and public health backgrounds, using both direct patient care and clinical research to contribute to better health outcomes for both current and future patients.
